Dendy’s big bites clinches the win out of Blacks (3/10/24)

After zeroing in a tournament the day before, and the wind blowing 20+, JD Dendy stayed close to the launch site on Sunday. That decision paid off in a couple of quality bites, with the big fish of the tournament of 7.54lbs, and 3 fish weighing 14.21lbs to take the win. Elvis Peagler Jr had a couple of big bites and finished 2nd with 11.36lbs. 3rd place with 2 fish weighing 9.93lbs was Paul Gullick. A total of 29 bass weighing 86.24lbs were caught for an average of 2.97 per fish.

Brown wins on Santee Cooper (2/18/24)

On a cold and muddy Santee Cooper, Ron Brown had the only limit weighing 14.55lbs to take 1st. He also had the big fish weighing 6.83lbs. Chris McCarty had 7.97lbs to take 2nd. 3rd place went to Eric Dziaminski with 7.88lbs. A total of 19 bass weighing 44.87lbs were caught.

Dendy takes 1st on the Cooper (1/14/24)

With a 6.96lb kicker, JD Dendy had a total weight of 12.26lbs to take the win on the Cooper. Dwayne Teague took 2nd with a limit weighing 11.02lbs. John “Louie” Lewis took 3rd with a limit weighing 8.49lbs. A total of 47 bass were caught weighing 83.96lbs for an average of 1.79lbs.

Peagler squeaks out the win on the Cooper (12/10/23)

Elvis Peagler caught a limit weighing 9.24lbs to beat Eric Dziaminski (9.16lbs) by .08lbs on a blustery day on the Cooper. Ron Brown took 3rd with a limit weighing 6.85lbs. A total of 22 bass were caught with an average weight of 1.26lbs.

Teague wins 2nd Tournament of the Year on Santee Cooper (11/5/23)

With a kicker fish of 6.75lbs, Dwayne Teague had a total weight of 12.40lbs to take 1st place. Eric Dziamnikski had the only limit for 8.49lbs to take 2nd. Johnno Starrick took 3rd with 8.40lbs. A total of 23 bass were caught weighing 65.96 for an average of 2.86lbs.

Teague wins Club Championship (11/21-22/23)

Dwayne Teague was the only angler to catch a limit on the lake and the river to win the Summerville Club Championship with a total weight of 18.53lbs. Elvis Peagler took 2nd place with 13.71lbs. 3rd place went to Ron Brown with 13.01lbs. Chris McCarty had the big fish at 5.01lbs caught on topwater on the river.

Summerville places 6th as a Club at SC 6 man on Lake Murray

The Summerville Bassmasters placed 6th out of 32 teams at SC 6 Man Championship on Lake Murray on Oct 13/14.

Chris McCarty placed 8th overall out of a field of 192 anglers.

McCarty wins final tournament of the year on Santee, Rozelle wins AOY(9/17/23)

With 14 anglers fishing the final tournament of the year, Chris McCarty took the win out of Black’s with 13.08lbs. He also had the big bass of the day with a 7.48lb lunker caught on a buzzbait. Dwayne Teague took 2nd with 10.23lbs. Third place went to Elvis Peagler with 6.64lbs. Jim Rozelle won Angler of the Year with 365pts, narrowly edging out Dwayne Teague by 10 pts. A total of 25 bass weighing 57.76lbs were caught for an average weight of 2.31lbs per bass.

Murdock wins on Steamy day on the Cooper (8/27/23)

Besting the field of 15 anglers, Malcolm Murdock had a 5 fish limit weighing 9.72lbs to take the win. He also had the big bass weighing 3.97lbs caught on a crankbait. Taking 2nd with a limit weighing 7.62lbs was Eric Dziaminski. Dwayne Teague had 7.48lbs to take 3rd. A total of 51 bass was caught weighing 66.33lbs for an average of 1.30lbs. All bass were released alive!

Peagler takes 24Hr tournament win (7/15/23)

Being able to fish any public water didn’t seem to make a difference during the heat of the summer. Elvis Peagler Jr reported catching to majority of his fish on topwater to take the win with a 5 fish weight of 9.89lbs. Elvis had the big bass of the tournament at 3.02lbs. 2nd place went to Chris McCarty with a limit weighing 9.17lbs. John (Louie) Lewis had a limit weighing 8.71lbs to take 3rd.

Getting a big bite on his 2nd cast of the day, JD Dendy had a limit weighing 9.45lbs to take 1st place. His big fish was 5lbs and was caught on topwater. Taking 2nd with a limit of 7.29lbs was Johno Starrick, whose big fish weighed 3.60lbs. Buddy Robertson had a limit weighing 6.67lbs to place 3rd. A total of 39 fish weighing 50.44lbs was caught for an average of 1.29lbs per fish.

Mendoza wins on a tough day on Santee Cooper (5/7/23)

With none of the 18 anglers catching a limit, Augie Mendoza caught the right ones, with 4 fish weighing 15.36lbs to take the win. Dwayne Teague had 3 fish weighing 10.15lbs to take second. Third place with 3 fish for 9.66lbs was Chris McCarty. McCarty also caught the big Bass weighing 6.61lbs. A total of 26 fish weighing 82.10lbs were caught for an average of 3.16lbs.

McCarty edges out Starrick to take the win on Santee Cooper (4/16/23)

Chris McCarty brought a limit weighing 15.90lbs to win by .08oz over Johno Starrick, who had 15.82lbs. Chris caught his limit on the upper lake while Starrick caught his on the lower lake. Taking 3rd with a limit weighing 12.35lbs was Eric Dziamniski, who fished the upper lake. Big fish went to Teddie Theile with a nice 7.55lb lunker. A total of 41 bass weighing 111.39lbs were caught for and average of 2.72lbs.

Rozelle catches a hog to take the win on Santee Cooper (3/11/23)

On a cold, windy and rain day with no angler bringing in a limit, all it took was one big bite to take 1st. Jim Rozelle had a big fish weighing an impressive 10.89lbs and his 2 fish total was 12.48lbs to take the win. Teddie Thiele had a total of 8.66lbs on 2 bass to take 2nd. With 3 bass weighing 7.74lbs Buddy Robertson took 3rd place. A total of 15 bass weighing 47.21lbs for an average of 3.15lbs.

Dziamniski takes the win out of Cypress Gardens (1/15/23)

Eric Dziamniski caught a 5 bass limit weighing 9.19lbs to best the field on the Cooper. He reported catching the majority of his fish on a Texas rigged craw. Dwayne Teague had the only other limit for 7.27lbs to take 2nd. His fish came on a Wacky Rig. Third place with 6.56lbs was Elvis Peagler Jr. A total of 28 bass weighing 43.26lbs were brought to the scales, for an average of 1.55lbs.

Rozelle cranks his way to the win on the Cooper River (12/11/22)

Jim Rozelle ran to the saltwater side of the Cooper River and threw a crankbait to get a limit weighing 9.04lbs to take 1st place. Coming in 2nd with 7.21lbs and the big fish of the tournament at 6.33lb was Timmy Eller. Buddy Robertson had 7.02lbs to take 3rd. Anglers caught 37 bass weighing 60.68lbs for an average of 1.64lbs.

McCarty wins on Santee Cooper (11/13/22)

On an incredibly windy day, Chris McCarty only had 3, but they were the right ones as he had 14.69lbs to take the win. His kicker fish was 7.35lbs. He reported catching his fish on a spinnerbait and on topwater. Ron Bown had the only limit of the day for 12.09lbs to finish in 2nd. 3rd place went to Elvis Peagler Jr with 4.81lbs. A total of 14 anglers caught 19 bass weighing 50.92lbs, for an average of 2.67lbs.

Dendy wins 2 day Club Championship (10/22-23/22)

10 anglers left Blacks on a semi-clear but windy day to start the Summerville Club Championship. Getting the quality bites that every angler looks for, JD Dendy had 3 fish weighing 11.02lbs to take the day 1 lead. JD’s big fish was 5,17lbs and was caught on a Wacky rigged Senko. 2nd place after day 1 was Ron Brown with 3 fish weighing 6.74lbs. 3rd place was Eric Dziamniski with 4.36lbs.

Day 2 was a clear, breezy with an outgoing tide most of the day which was on the Cooper River out of Cypress Gardens. Taking the heavy stringer for the day was Chris McCarty with a limit weighing 7.10lbs. Chris reported catching his fish on a Rattle Trap and had the big bass for the day at 2.73lbs. Jim Rozelle had a limit for 6.51lbs to take 2nd. Dwayne Teague took 3rd with a limit weighing 6.22lbs.

After the 2 days weighs were tabulated, JD Dendy took 1st with 15.94lbs. Ron
Brown was 2nd with 12.10lbs. Eric Dziamniski had 9.09lbs for 3rd.

The rest of the field was 4th – Dwayne Teague, 5th – Chris McCarty, 6th – Elvis Peagler Jr, 7th – Jim Rozelle, 8th – Paul Gullick, 9th (tie) – Buddy Robertson and John Lewis.

A total of 44 bass was caught for 67.49lbs.

Teague wins first tournament of the year on a stingy Santee Cooper (10/16/22)

On a beautiful fall day with light winds and temps in the high 70’s, Dwayne Teague caught 3 fish weighing 6.71lbs to take 1st place. JD Dendy had 3 fish for a total of 5.51lbs to take 2nd. Taking 3rd with 2 fish weighing 4.32lbs was Malcolm Murdock. JD had the big fish of the tournament at 3.18lbs. A total of 13 fish were weighed in for a total of 25.28lbs, an average of 1.94lbs.

Peagler wins Angler of the Year for 2022

Elvis Peagler Jr had a total of 348 points to narrowly edge out Eric Dzianmiski, who had 344 points, for Angler of the Year. Jim Rozelle finished 3rd with 314 points. Rounding out the top six was Ron Brown with 298pts- 4th, Chris McCarty with 293 points- 5th and Dwayne Teague with 290 points in 6th.

Teague takes final tournament of the year (9/11/22)

Dwayne Teague caught 3 keepers for 7.31lbs to win the final tournament of the year. Eric Dziamniski had 3 keepers for 7.01lbs to take 2nd. 3rd place with 5.50lbs was Chris McCarty. Louie Lewis had the big fish of the tournament with a nice 4.60lb Largemouth. A total of 17 bass weighing 39.51lbs was caught with an average weight of 2.32lbs. a variety of patterns were used – frogs, floating worms, Texas rigs, Wacky rigs, Carolina rigs.

Peagler takes the win on the Cooper (8/14/22)

Elvis Peagler caught a limit weighing 6.10lbs to best the field of 14 anglers on the Cooper. Taking 2nd with the only other limit was Jim Rozelle with 5.30lbs. 3rd place went to Chris Marty with 3.66lbs Dwayne Teague had the big fish at 1.92lbs. A total of 35 fish weighing 37.61lbs were caught, weighing a paltry average of 1.07lbs.

Dziamniski wins on a stingy Copper River (7/10/22)

Eric D caught a 5 fish limit weighing 9.99lbs to take the win on the Cooper out of Cypress Gardens. Eric had the big fish of the tournament weighing a healthy 4.13lbs. Buddy Robertson placed 2nd with a limit weighing 6.06lbs. Elvis Peagler Jr had a limit weighing 6.04lbs to take 3rd. A total of 16 fishermen caught 52 bass weighing 66.70 for an average of 1.28lbs per fish.

Kyle Orr caught 3 bass weighing 8,25lbs place 1st on Lake Murray. He also had the big fish of the tournament at 3.83lbs. Taking second with 4 fish weighing 6.50lbs was Elvis Peagler Jr. Chris McCarty had 3 fish for 3.97lbs to take 3rd.

Teague beats the heat and takes the Win (5/15/22)

Dwayne Teague caught 4 bass weighing 9.76lbs to take 1st out of Cathead Landing on Lake Marion. He caught his fish on trees flipping a Lizard. Taking 2nd place with 4 fish weighing 7.77lbs was Ron Brown. Jim Rozelle had 3 fish weighing 7.45lbs to take 3rd. Tom Lindenmeyer took big fish honors with a 5.10lb bass. Cold Fronts leads to tough conditions for all as Eller takes the win (4/10/22)

Timmy Eller caught 4 fish weighing 10.42lbs to take the win out of Blacks. He reported that the fish he caught were on the bed. Ron Brown caught 3 fish weighing 9.76lbs to take 2nd. His fish were caught fishing a Senko on the lower lake. Elvis Peagler had 8.11lbs, including the big fish of 5.44lbs, to take 3rd. Big Fish is the key in Dziamniski win (2/13/22)

Eric Dziamniski took the win on Santee Cooper with 3 fish weighing an even 15lbs. His stringer was led by a 6.61lb kicker. Kyle Orr took 2nd with 12.17lb with a 6.35lb big fish. Elvis Peagler Jr took 3rd on 2 fish weighing 11.08lbs with the big fish of the tournament which weighed 7.45lbs. Brown takes the win on the Cooper (1/9/22)

Ron Brown caught a 5 fish limit weighing 11.64lbs to take 1st place. He also had the big fish of the day weighing 4.55lbs.  JD Dendy took 2nd with a 5 fish limit weighing 11.09lbs.  3rd place with a limit weighing 7.54lbs was Eric Dziamniski.  A total of 50 fish weighing 79.95lbs were caught.

Rozelle wins battle on the Cooper (12/12/21)

Brown takes win on stingy Santee Cooper (11/14/21)

Ron Brown caught 3 Bass weighing 9.18lbs, with Big Bass of 4.40lbs, to place 1st out of 18 anglers. 2nd place went to Kyle Orr with 5.03lbs, also with 3 Bass. Peagler wins 1st tournament of the year out of Blacks (10/24/21)

On a tough day day on the water, 17 anglers fished out of Blacks. Elvis Peagler Jr caught 2 fish weighing 6.55lbs to take the win. 2nd was Kyle Orr with 2.52lbs. Eric Dziamniski had 2.23lbs for 3rd place.
